Content Inc with Joe Pulizzi

Content Inc. is for entrepreneurs and startups who want to be big - not by creating and selling more products and services - but by developing a loyal audience through remarkable content. Joe Pulizzi, known as the "godfather of content marketing," believes that most small businesses and startups are going to market in the wrong way. Instead of leading first with product, Joe believes entrepreneurs should be building audiences...then they can sell whatever they want. Each episode contains one inspirational idea that can change your business - all in less than 10 minutes, too.

The best content creators on the planet have what Maven's Wes Kao calls a "Spiky Point of View."

A spiky point of view can be the one thing that separates you from all the other content clutter out there. According to Wes:

  1. A spiky point of view can be debated.
  2. A spiky point of view isn’t controversial for the sake of it.
  3. A spiky point of view teaches your audience something relevant they don’t already know.
  4. A spiky point of view is rooted in evidence, but it doesn’t have to be a proven fact or universal truth.
  5. A spiky point of view requires conviction.

Now is a great time to find you spiky point of view. Done right, this is something you can build your business upon. In other words, if you are going to create something like a Blazing Saddles, you better be willing to beat up the old lady, punch a horse, and annihilate the fourth wall.
